Recruiting during the pandemic

Dealing with the coronavirus pandemic

We are used to tackling exciting changes at Tchibo, but in recent years we have also had to adjust to the coronavirus pandemic. We don’t let a virus like this stop us from getting to know you as an applicant and welcoming you to our company. We have assembled for you some information so that you are well prepared when you start the application process.

Best wishes and stay healthy!

Answers to the key questions

How can I currently apply?

You can apply for your desired position in the usual way via our careers page. We will respond as soon as we can.

How is the interview conducted?

Our application process is organised in several stages. To avoid the risk of infections, we currently conduct our initial interviews via Microsoft Teams. You will receive a link in advance that will take you to the virtual meeting. In the first interview, which lasts about 1-1.5 hours, we aim to get to know you better and learn about your professional skills and your personality. And, of course, you will also receive lots of information about us, Tchibo as an employer and your desired position.

All being good, we will then deepen this exchange in a second interview on site. For further details, please contact your responsible Recruiting Manager.

Will I need any special computer equipment for the interview?

"Hello, hello, can you hear me?" - we know this situation only too well with Skype calls. That’s why we use Microsoft Teams. In order to avoid technical difficulties, a brief equipment check before the start of the interview can help. Apart from having a laptop or PC with a camera and microphone or headphones with a built-in mic, you won't need any special technical equipment for your first virtual interview with Microsoft Teams. You also don’t need to download anything, because the video chat will run happily in most browsers.
